WA: AFP charge Perth man with people smuggling

A 21 year old man has been charged with people smuggling and is due to face Perth Magistrates
Court today.

Australian Federal Police say the man from Thornlie .. 18 kilometers south of Perth
.. has been involved in the unlawful assistance of entry of at least five people.

AFP say he has been charged with one count of organising or facilitating the proposed
entry of into Australia of five or more persons .. the maximum penalty for the offence
is 20-years in prison.
