Qld: Flood of support for Hanson
One Nation's offices have been flooded with calls of support for jailed party founderPAULINE HANSON.
Queensland One Nation parliamentary leader BILL FLYNN says many of the well-wishersare pledging financial support for an appeal against HANSON's conviction and sentence.
The former federal MP and her party's co-founder DAVID ETTRIDGE were yesterday foundguilty of fraud charges in the Brisbane District Court and each sentenced to three years'jail.
Mr FLYNN says the legal system is coming down heavily on white collar crime.
But he's stopped short of calling HANSON a political martyr.
Mr FLYNN says HANSON hasn't been involved with the party in an executive role since2001 but has always kept in touch with its membership.
He says One Nation voters will produce a ballot box backlash against the QueenslandCoalition at the next election.
